We support rights-based and community-led conservation to protect biodiversity, strengthen local land tenure, and ensure equitable sharing of benefits among forest communities.
We promote climate-smart, inclusive agriculture that enhances food security, increases resilience to climate shocks, and provides sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers.
Through a community-based protection model, we implement survivor-centered GBV prevention and response strategies, emphasizing safety, dignity, and empowerment for women, youth, and people with disabilities.
We enable communities to adapt to climate variability and environmental risks by investing in education, local leadership, and advocacy, promoting lasting resilience through grassroots solutions.
Initially, the organization started as a youth advocacy and good governance group in the natural resources sector. However, the organization has now expanded its operations to include several areas such as Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), the protection of high-risk populations, women, peace, and security, Sustainable Natural Resources Management, including good governance, a rights-based approach to conservation, community participation, Climate Change, Agriculture, and training.
Champions for Change supports Upcoming National Forest Forum: Encourages Liberians to promote Sustainable Forest Management - With Technical Support from the civil society activist, Dominic T. Johns, Team Lead of Champions for Change and Convener of the REDD+ Technical Working Group (RTWG), the FDA anticipates a resolution or outcome of the meeting that generates attractions for investment in the sector.
Champions for Change (CFC) visited Paynesville Adrial Academy, Apostle Wisdom School System, and the Monrovia Central Prison in Montserrado County. Their objective was to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and distribute sanitary pads and other items to students and inmates.
